CALLING ALL YOUTH!

CLC offers many opportunities for young people to learn, play, and serve. Here is a sampling of what we do:

* Youth Night every third Wednesday at 5:30 pm. Meal included! Past activities have included an All Saints Hayride to the Capron cemetery, a Bike Blessing and bike ride on the bike trail, planting the community garden, to name a few. Upcoming Youth Night dates for Fall 2010:

* Sunday School for all ages. Sunday School is at 9 am during the school year (starting Sept. 12th). Classes are Pre-K/K, Grades 1-3 and Grades 4-6. This year we will be using the Spark Curriculum, which is based on our church lectionary readings. You can check it out here: www.activatefaith.org

* Confirmation classes for grades 7 & 8.  Confirmation is taught by Pastor Carrie in her office, Sunday mornings at 9 am. This year we will continue to use the Here We Stand curriculum. You can check it out here: www.augsburgfortress.org/herewestand

Confirmation students dig deeper into the Bible and into their faith. They are involved in service and worship projects together, and will take field trips to other places of worship. Students who complete these classes will be confirmed at the end of their 8th grade year.

* High School Youth Group on Sunday mornings. This is a brand-new group, led by Duane Anderson. What would you like to do? What would you like to learn? Come on Sept. 12th at 9 am to help shape this group!
