Amber Mc Cracken , 23 years old, needs a Kidney
I was born with Polycystic Kidney Disease, a hereditary disorder. I had a transplant November 4th 1996 at Children's Memorial Hospital. In Chicago, at the age of 11. The kidney lasted for 10 years. Unfortunately it died on December 17th, 2006. I have been on dialysis since then. I go to treatment three times a week and at least one doctor appointment each week. I had to drop out of Vet. Tech. school and I am unable to work while I am on treatment.
